CPR 2816 was part of the collection which is now Steamtown USA in Scranton PA. CP bought it back and moved it to British Columbia where it was rebuilt. Instrumentation and automatic oiling was added to allow it to operate on the CPR main lines.

Somewhere in the northeastern USA, IIRC.

Can anyone tell me what happened to the CPR engine #2816 after it was retired from service in 1960, obviously I know it was rebuilt and converted to oil in 2001 and renamed the Empress but where was it for those 40 plus years?
